Halász Confectionery started its operations in 1987, more than 30 years ago. The most popular and famous of our traditional products are the cheese scones, chocolate cakes and cream cakes made according to our own recipe. In Szerencs and Tokaj we have several shops where you can taste our latest specialities.
Confectionery
Basically, the cakes are divided into two categories. The cream cakes, which are made with our own cream, flavoured with fruit, chocolate, custard, cottage cheese, hazelnut cream, chestnut, etc
The buttercream cakes are filled with buttercream diluted with cooked custard and enriched with different flavours, just like the cream cakes.
Cakes
There are two main categories of cakes, savoury and sweet. Our savoury cakes are made from puff pastry. Our sweet pastries include the old Kovács sweets, along with our many desserts. We offer our customers 70 different types of scones and tea cakes, of which 35-35 are prepared daily in rotation.
Ice cream
The history of Szerencs's legendary ice cream dates back to 1954. It was here that Uncle Juhász took what he had learnt on the bread line and spread what he wanted to spread. His love for the profession and that of his son-in-law, László Kovács, the master confectioner, gave birth to their own handcrafted recipe, which will be carried on by our company from 2020. We also offer a sugar-free version.

Freshly
ground coffee
We make our coffees from Excelsior ground coffee with our own cream. We offer espresso, cappuccino, long coffee, cream coffee and iced coffee with ice cream. Decaffeinated coffee is also available.

A wedding is one of the most beautiful and special days in a newlywed couple's life, so it's understandable that everyone wants the best of everything. And the wedding cake is no different. By prior arrangement we can create a unique wedding cake.
Szerencs and chocolate
The history of Szerencs and chocolate began in 1923. This is when the chocolate factory opened its doors. Its products quickly became popular in the country and abroad. Classic retro products are still available today, such as the Szerencs Retro Bar (formerly known as Melódia), Cat's Tongue, Animal ABC and Castle chocolates, or the handmade Cognac cherries. These classic products are back in the range of our confectioneries, from cakes to ice creams.
Marzipan cakes
These are occasional cakes, the inside can be made in any buttercream flavour, the outside can be made according to your individual wishes and ideas. Our basic flavours are: chocolate, lemon, punch, strawberry, raspberry, caramel, chestnut, hazelnut, walnut.
Cakes with figures
Our marzipan covered figurine cakes can be made in any cooked buttercream flavour on the inside, and we can also make the outside according to your individual wishes and ideas. Our basic flavours are: chocolate, lemon, punch, strawberry, raspberry, caramel, chestnut, hazelnut, walnut.
Waffle cakes
For cakes with wafer photo, you can send us the picture personally on a flash drive or by e-mail. For better quality, please choose a high resolution image if possible. Please place your order 3-4 days in advance.
